Oh my. Marshall did not see that one coming. This is going to be interesting, the dancing act between his two women. Desperate to keep Mary from knowing. And Mary would not be happy.

That's the issue. How do you not tell your best friend that you got some/possibly met someone? If you're in love with your best friend who has a temper that could shear steel, how do you tell her that you, as an unattached and healthy male, went out and got a little something something? Believe it or not, at this point, I was still kind of undecided as to whether or not to give Marshall a girlfriend, a separate girlfriend (a la Raph, only not a douche)... I think it worked out well in the end, but it was one of those odd moments while writing. "You know... she *does* have a lot in common with him..." However, the fact is, I didn't think it was fair to TL that he would always, no matter how deeply involved with her, be comparing her to Mary. She's his touchstone, his point of reference, and thus they needed to end together.

I love it! I can just picture Marshall's face. This is an interesting little mess Marshall has got himself in and looking forward to more.

I liked the look that he gave her in 'Never the Bride' when he was in the truck and she was trussed up in that dress like a Thanksgiving turkey. That, I have to be cool, but this is *so* bad. I'm in total lust, and yet if I show her that, she *will* kill me, kind of look. I figure this might be one of the more nervewracking experiences of his life, admittedly less than Son of Mann but still, right up there.

I chuckle every time I read that Keith Richards comments *giggle*

I so wish we could see a scene like this in the show. Just Marshall's look of utter terror. And this line:

Two ultra-competitive alpha females, oh the carnage, oh the humanity.

Just about sums that meeting up! I can see him standing there with that "smile" he gets on his face when he's not sure if something's ticking or not. LOL!

Excellent chapter!!
