I'm thinking something REALLY bad happens to Mary if Marshall loses it like that.

Poor Marshall. You just want to pet him and tell him everything is going to be okay.

And poor Mary (presumably). You just want to...make sure she has plenty of painkillers.

Oh, man . . .

I'm sure Marshall also feels responsible for whatever happened to her because they're partners and it's his job to protect her.

They are really going to leave us hanging for 8 months.

I had the same thought - about leaving us hanging. It's so mean!!! Poor Marshall, Poor me!

OH MY GOD, those last ones. My angst loving heart went insane with glee and then felt terrible for doing so. MARSHALL. ;_; Can't wait for these eps!

My heart actually broke for Marshall, and I don't even know what's going on. MARSHALL!!! TELL HER YOU LOOOOOVE HER! BEFORE SHE DIES AND THE SHOW ENDS PREMATURELY!

I actually pictured Stan using kinda the opposite scenario in order to comfort him - I picture him petting Marshall's hair (partially in envy) and saying, "There, there, Marshall. She's going to be okay. She's the lead character in this thing so you know she'll be alright - even if this ends in a cliffhanger!"

Well... yes. That probably is how it'll go. BUT OOOOOH, LOOK AT HIM! HE'S SO BEAUTIFULLY TRAGIC! I can't wait to compare that scene to Mary's breakdown in the ep where Marshall got shot.

That he is (beautifully tragic, I mean).

If comparing the two scenes (prematurely), I would say Stan definitely gets the "Most Improved" award in the "Comfort the Cryer" category. He just kinda got all uncomfortable and wandered off when Mary was crying over Marshall.

But then I think Stan has gotten way more awesome this season. And I totally dig him with Eleanor.
