Paganini

Yes, we all love Paganini, but just how much?

Sure he's influenced Brahms, Liszt and Rachmaninoff, but how many times have we looked past the '....based on a theme by Paganini'? I am ashamed that I did look past that, until today.

The reason I love classical WRR101, is that not only do they play the same old, same old - they'll whip out things that you wouldn't ever have thought to listen to. It's wonderfully eye-opening, it is.

Today, after the most irritating Khachaturian, I stumbled upon a Paganini concerto - not the video below (that's to show you how gorgeous his concertos are, actually) but his third concerto, E minor, I think. Gosh, it was gorgeous - I'm definitely going to have to buy/track down some recordings of it somewhere...

Classical and baroque music affects me way too much, I need to stop listening to it in the car before I crash into someone while exclaiming, "This is amazing!"

rachmaninov, liszt, wow, paganini
