The angel of snow
Skiing wasn’t really Jaejoong’s greatest talent. He liked it well enough, but he didn’t have Yunho’s perfect grace down the hill as he did some slalom movements. It looked pretty good when you were watching it. Especially if you were watching from downhill.
Jaejoong smiled brightly when they both landed having taken the slope together. Yunho put an arm around Jaejoong and leaned in to kiss him, the ski glasses bumping together.
“Ew you two. Get a room. Why do you always have to kiss?” Yoochun pulled them away from each other and grinned brightly. “Who’s up for hot chocolate? I think it’s hot chocolate time now.” He announced grinning.
“Again? Didn’t you just drink a cup with Junsu?” Yunho raised an eyebrow, but Yoochun merely shrugged.
“We all know the best part of skiing is hot chocolate and afterskiing, so what’s the point in actually skiing?” Yoochun asked and grinned again at his friends.
Jaejoong couldn’t agree more, since he really wasn’t the biggest fan of skiing, but he knew his boyfriend liked it, so he merely shrugged.
“One more turn and we’ll join you. Just grab the other guys and we’ll meet you there.” Jaejoong said diplomatically, which did earn him a smile from both Yunho and Yoochun.
“If that was a euphemism for ‘we’re going up there and have sex’ then know I’ll be coming after you in exactly twenty minutes.” Yoochun warned them as they hopped up on the ski lift letting it move them up.
“Thank for going with me. I know you don’t like it.” Yunho said, his gloved hand finding Jaejoong’s thigh.
“You know, I can’t even feel that through the thick layer of the trousers.” Jeajoong laughed when Yunho’s hand dug further into the trousers.
“Would you rather my hand was inside your trousers then?” Yunho asked raising an eyebrow grinning.
“No. Your fingers are probably too cold.” They both jumped off the lift as they reached the top of hill.
“Come here, let’s try something else.” Yunho grabbed Jaejoong’s hand and took his ski sticks in the other leading them both off the piste and into the forest.
“What are you doing? Yunho, what are we doing? We can’t go in there. We’ll get lost. Oh my God. Are you going to take Yoochun’s idea? And you say he’s bad for me. Yunho! We can’t have sex in here. It’s too cold! I’m all for adventures, but please can’t we just have our adventures in the warm, warm cabin? I’m not opposed to sex in front of the fire. Yunho!” Jaejoong kept talking until the other man finally stopped.
“Take off your skis.” Yunho did so himself and then looked expectantly at Jaejoong.
“Love, I love you, I love sex with you out here, but I refuse!” Jaejoong said stubbornly, not taking off his skis.
“Oh for God’s sake. Is sex all you think about? Of course we’re not going to have sex in here! We’re going to do something fun and then tonight we can have sex in front of the fire if you want that or just plain and simply in the bed. Now be a good boy and take off your skis.” Yunho smiled softly at Jaejoong and all he could do was to take off the skis.
“What are we doing then?” Excitement rolled through Jaejoong when Yunho lay down on the ground and started moving his arms and legs.
“We’re making snow angels of course!” Yunho grinned at Jaejoong and started moving to make a snow angel.
“Snow angels? You don’t look like the kind of guy who likes making snow angels?” Though secretly Jaejoong was beyond happy. He loved making snow angels! And getting into snowball fights. Those were the fun things about snow. Not weird skiing. Though it was fun too, just not as much fun as making snow angels.
“No, but you do. So now my beautiful angel, show me what you’ve got.” And they made snow angels. Many. For a long time. They didn’t even know how long it was before they were lying next to each other grinning at each other as their lips met.
“My nose is cold.” Jaejoong complained.
“I know. Mine too.” Yunho rubbed his nose along Jaejoong’s trying to cause a bit of heat between the two.
“Minnie! Su! I found them!” a loud voice brought them both back to reality and they looked at the source. Yoochun. He had promised to come after them.
“Oh hey Yoochun.” Jaejoong said sitting up, grinning widely.
“I told you not to have sex and then I find you here-…” Yoochun was cut off with a loud “NO” from both Yunho and Jaejoong as he was about to step on one of the snow angels.
“We weren’t having sex.” Jaejoong said, “We’ll do that later.” He added with a grin.
“Whatever. I don’t care. You didn’t show up for our date and then I find you here. What were you doing? Oh you’ve made pretty snow angels. I like that one!” he pointed at the one in the middle.
“Of course you’d like that one. It’s Jaejoong’s.” Yunho said grumpily sitting back up next to Jaejoong. Making snow angels was definitely something Jaejoong had enjoyed and he liked making his beloved smile that wonderful unguarded smile that was reserved for him alone most of the times.
“Well now that we’ve all reunited, let’s go back down and get some hot chocolate. I don’t fancy staying here all day.” Yoochun was really a big fan of hot chocolate or, well, anything with chocolate, so he grinned at them all and started skiing towards the piste again.
A snowball hit Yunho in the back of his head though.
Turning around he saw Changmin grinning evilly and they all heard Junsu’s wonderful laugh.
“You shouldn’t have done that.” Yunho grinned at Changmin as he started to gather up snow in his hands.
Jaejoong stood up and walked over to Changmin to high five him. Though instead of doing so the older of the two smashed a lot of snow directly into his face.
“Hyung! You’re supposed to be on my side.” Changmin yelled and started shuddering as he wiped the snow from his face. “Evil!”
The snow fight was now in session and it seemed that it was everyone against Yunho and Jaejoong.
“Maybe we should get back. You know? That glass of hot chocolate down the hill.” Yunho suggested when they were all wet and cold from the snow everywhere. They all smiled and nodded. Before putting on their skis though they found themselves putting their arms around each other in one messy group hug. All the angels were now smudged from the fight and looking at them Jaejoong could only smile. He didn’t mind that they were all ruined for now. Because it had been fun making them and just as fun ruining them.
Looking back though, Yunho grabbed hold of Jaejoong’s hand. “Your angel is still there.” Yunho pointed to the one in the middle.
“It’s because you protect it.” Jaejoong whispered earning himself a smack at the back of his head and a kiss.
“I do, don’t I?” Yunho couldn’t help but smile. He didn’t mind that the angels were ruined either because snow angels or not, he had his angel right there next to him. The man who would go skiing in the cold snow even when they both knew he hated it.
“I like it.” Jaejoong admitted with a grin.
“Good. I don’t plan on stopping.” Yunho loved taking care of Jaejoong and making the other man feel special. And he definitely loved that Jaejoong too loved it. He wouldn’t stop for the world.
“How mad do you think Yoochun would be if we ditch him and go to the cabin?” Jaejoong asked innocently.
“Mad. We can’t do that.” Yunho said squeezing the gloved hand in his.
“Why not? I want you, you want me. It’s cold and it’s started snowing.” Jaejoong was right. Snowflakes were landing on their hats and everywhere now. Snow was definitely beautiful and cold, but when watching it from inside its beauty was worth far more than anything else.
“Come on. Let’s ditch them. They’ll survive without us.” Yunho didn’t say another word to the others as they skied down the hill. He took Jaejoong’s hand leading him to the ski shop to return their rented skis and to go back to the cabin. Because the fire would be cracking, the blankets would be soft and Jaejoong’s skin would be the most delicious thing he could ever taste.
