disorder of the day
So I have Dermatillomania or Compulsive Skin Picking (CPS) or Self Injurous Skin Picking (SISP) which is related to OCD. The recommended treatment: SRI's or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Fuck man, can I just have a pair of cotton gloves or something? As I read about it I find myself horrified and fascinated. So it's a disorder, no wonder it's so hard. I would definately call it compulsive. Can't there just be a pretty black and white logical on off switch somewhere somehow like a math equation- real simple unique answer. One website told had a 12 step program that began with embracing God. *rolls eyes*
Classes are fine, work's fine, Caitlin's good- today's v-day. I have some stuff planned, and I will write more later. HW is goin ok, and I am definately settling into the schedule and the routine of the semester.
We had torrential rains that led to various floods around campus. Luckily nothing was too damaged. IT survived with minimal damage, but our dorm basement is out of order so good thing we did laundry last week!
I am excited about going to GDC but really overwhelmed with all the hw and stuff I have to do before that to think about it too much. It is also scary to think that right after that will be spring break- half way over with the semester. That means half way done with the last semester of my seniors!! Bah! Must change subject to avoid extreme depression!
