I went to Cindy Montanez's rally today. i had to wake up really early to get there by 8AM (the rally's at 9 though)...but I didn't..I woke up at 8, freaked out, and got there by 8:30. Ooh, wow. So what was this rally about exactly? I mean it sounds like a politician but for what election?

This is for the State Senate in the 20th District in CA. She's in the Democratic Primary.

Ahhh, I must say I don't know what that means much because I don't know American politics details. Though we have someone from each city or section representing for the province so I assume it's the same kind of thing. So I just don't what Democratic Primary is. A stage of the election?

A primary is where you determine which candidate of a party is going to rep that party in the actual election. Like you have two demos and two GOPs, and a primary determine which Democrat is gonna run in the actual election against the GOP who won the Republican primary, does that make sense?

Oh and in case you run across the issue of a primary again, there's also the difference between an open primary and a close primary. An open primary is where democrats can vote for in a republican primary too if he/she desires and vis versa. A closed primary is where a vote is registered as a democract can only vote in a Democract primary and a voter who is registered as a Repubican can only vote in a Repo primary, and so on....

Opps...my bad!!! I got so lazy with typing I just started abbrievating. SORRY! =D

Demos = Democrats
GOP = Republicans (I think it's something like Grand Old Party or Great Old Party..a term someone endowed the Republican party)
