weird things that have happened lately
1) i went to el museo de la xocolada aka the jankiest museum ever. it had all these sculptures made out of old, dusty looking chocolate, including: willy wonka's chocolate factory (no wonka though), don quixote and a windmill, salvador dali, every famous building in barcelona, a bullfight, and an almost full size pieta. the rest of the museum was devoted to the history of chocolate. i pressed a button next to a movie projector, expecting a nice video about how chocolate is made, but instead it was a horrific, acid-flashback-inducing slideshow of aztec gods, creepy stretched out faces, conquistadors, and blurry landscapes (set to a soundtrack of clicking and roaring noises).
2) my boss overpaid me by 16 euros for no reason, except that he's nice!
3) the other day i was sitting in a park with my friend kate and this normal looking middle-aged guy walked up to us and held out a note. it looked like it was written by a kid and had a drawing of a bear on it. it said "yo soy el rey de los ridiculos. por favor dame reverencia". he stared at us meaningfully and said "que os parezco?" confused, we replied, "lo siento, pero no sabemos". then he pulled out a handkerchief with a leafy twig tied to each corner. he put it on his head (it looked like a yarmulke/laurel wreath) and repeated menacingly, "que os parezco?" we just stared in confusion, and finally he walked away.
4) i saw what definitely looked like a clown parade. it was like 30 people in neon orange afro wigs and afro vests, walking down the street at midnight.
5) i had a really bad nightmare about being a murderer. i think it was from reading crime and punishment.
6) i'm really not that into anna karenina. the intro calls it "the world's greatest novel" so i must be missing something, but it doesn't seem that impressive. maybe the second half is a lot better than the first.
7) i realized i like akon when he's combined with young jeezy!
