101 Things I should be doing

Jul 28, 2008 09:29

I've made up a list of the 101 things that are reasonable goals and things that I'd really like to do within a little less than three years (1001 days). Somehow, thinking about things in those terms (days, months, years) makes everything seem more manageable. I've tried to convince my husband that a list is a concrete go-to when I can't figure out ( Read more... )

Love, Love, LOVE this idea. It makes sense to me. I'm a listmaker too...don't let nonlisties judge you. :) Here are some comments on your list:
- I love going downtown to art museums. I think the Field Museum is lame, but any of the others I'd be happy to join you for a field trip! :)
-I'd like to be your friend on goodreads, but I really can't afford another thing to waste my time with online. :) I already check my email, like, 4 times a day...so let's talk about books instead. Right now I'm a little bit more than halfway through The Devil in the White City and will be beginning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by the end of the week. Did you ever finish Gatsby?
- I still have your textbooks that formerly held up my couch; I'll give those back to you so you can sell them too.
-I'll run a race with you, though I'm not anywhere near an 8 minute mile. Last Saturday I ran 6.5 miles at a 10 minute pace.
-Jared and I would love to be your date to any of your new restaurant destinations.
-Seal Sucks.
-I'll invite you to any of my concerts in the next 3 years. We only do about 3 a year...so you'll have to get yours elsewhere.
-I'm up for listening, speaking and partying at any time with my good pal Aysh. :)

Good luck on your list. Let's get together soon!

Yay! That is so nice! I knew you'd be sorry about the Seal thing, but I decided he's a favorite of mine, he sounds good on live tv, and I want to go if he's ever around.
-I can't seem to make up my mind about things- there are so many! I need a list of like, 150 things instead. Some of my items have morphed into more concrete numbers, and others have changed just a bit to fit my style more, like a surprise gift instead of flowers, etc.
-Goodreads is nice because I am actually keeping track of my books, and it keeps me focused on what I'd like to give a try next. I did finish Gastby and unfortunately I just didn't like it. Not enraptured at.all. I would like to read Devil in the White City, so when I'm done with some of my books, I'll begin that one too.
-Zach seems wary about the new restaurants/experiences thing, because he's Zach, but I may be happy to take you up on the offer.
- I ran for five minutes outside today and had asthma problems but I am going to keep it up. I can run for about 15 minutes inside without too much trouble at about 4.5-5 mph. I am absolutely nowhere near running an 8 min. mile (I'm at about 12:30-13 min.), nor am I ready to run a 5K. What was it that you and Amanda ran the other week? How fast did you do that? (secretly jealous of your sweet trophy)
Meh, that's what goals are for...
Glad to see LJ hasn't gone by the wayside.
