So here's the long and short of it...
My dog, my big brave girl, is dying of kidney failure.
Unless she gets back to eating regularly, she has about 2 weeks to live...
The good news is that she's on IVs and she's showing a lot of improvement. She ate a lot tonight which is a good sign and she's in good spirits, but God help me I don't want to make her suffer....
You think with my job-seeing euthanasias every day-that it would get easier, but it doesn't. All I want to do is cry and cry and cry. I've never had a dog that has lasted up to this point, but then again, I know that she's had a very good life with us. I know I'm talking like she's already dead, but I'm just trying to put it in my head that it's better for her not to suffer if she gets to...that point.

Do me a favor? Everyone who reads this? Please say a prayer, a wish, anything, for her. Thanks :)
