It's funny how your whole world can change in an instant...
Most of you have read/heard about this already. If you haven't and want to get the whole story, just read my myspace blog. I don't feel like cutting and pasting.
Basically, my mom's in the hospital. They found a huge blood clot in her leg that goes all the way almost past her pelvis. It's a very rare case. Only about 5 out of thousands of people can get it. They got the CT scan results today and found out the damage is pretty extensive. They won't even be able to take all of it out. They have to put in a filter so the blood can start circulating again.
Even then, they won't know the outcome til they actually do the operation, which will be tomorrow morning at 7AM, considering everything goes well. She's in a lot of pain. She can't even get out of her bed. She's trying to stay positive and it's really hard. It's got me going crazy because she doesn't know if she'll be okay. And that's the first time that I've ever heard her say that. I can't imagine my life without my mom. She has been both of my parents for me and has been there for me when no one else was. I don't even want to think about the worst case scenario on this one.
Anyway, no matter if you're religious or not, please have her in your thoughts. She needs all the strength she can get. I'll give more of an update after the operation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it turns out well.
