Look! It's a rant... It's a meme... No! It's a fanpost!

For all the newly-initiated House/Hugh Laurie fans - So, you probably know about the inordinately high (and unhealthy) amount of time I spend on Wikipedia, LJ and IMDB so I can later spout off random facts at you at odd moments. Here's something that you might actually care about:

Douglas Adams, author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), originally wanted him (Hugh) to play Arthur Dent for the film adaptation. A deal was almost in place to have Hugh play Dent, along with Jim Carrey as Zaphod and Jay Roach directing, before Adams's untimely death.

Oh man, we were so close from not having that movie not be complete crap. Damn. Could you imagine how different that movie would've been? Seriously?

Also, among other interesting facts, he was apparently in the Spice Girls movie (of whose existence I was thankfully not aware of) playing, of all people, the detective Poirot.

Really. You can't make this stuff up!

If you're still reading this... Yeah, you could still be Shrestha. In which case, you are an idiot for spoiling yourself for all the shows you watch.

1) Why are all the parents on this show such control freaks? Nathan? Big Bad Grandma Petrelli? (Jeeesus, what is up with that woman?) Niki/Jessica? (Well, OK, exception.) Matt Parkman? Bennett? And also, Mohinder is suddenly everyone's mother.

2) Like everyone's been saying. The logic seems to be missing with the climax somewhat. What would really be the point of shooting Peter anyway? Anyone remember those mad regenerating skillz he got from Claire? Also... it ever occur to Peter that he could just fly away himself without needlessly involving Nathan?

Because... aaaagh! Nathan!

3) WTF? Did Sylar get some power that we missed? How is he still alive?

4) Hiro was adorable. As usual. ^_^ The ending means we will still see him battling that dragon-ish dinosaur. :) The only Mendez that apparently did not pertain to the end of New York.

5) So, there's another bad guy all ready for Season 2. The guy who can 'see' Molly back. Oooh. Creepy. The plot thickens, oh yes.

I shall be off in that corner once more, pretending to be studying yet again.
