The Time is Nigh
A vast majority of Genosha has had electrical power restored for them, and broadcast capabilities have been re-established in time for most of the citizens of this beleaguered nation to listen to the broadcast from their de facto president in response to Magneto's belligerent threats.

You may not know me yet, but in the coming months, my sincere hope is that I will be able to travel across this great land and meet all of you that are taking part in building this new ideal society, breaking from the traditional ideologies that result in nothing but corruption and division. My given name is not important - all that matters is the title I have taken upon myself is that of the Flag-Smasher. Despite the apparent hostility of that moniker, I bear no ill will towards the peoples of Earth. Rather, it is their outdated and inherently flawed systems of government and provincial claims to territory and borders that we of ULTIMATUM wish to smash into oblivion, so that we might unite all of us, humankind and mutantkind of every heritage and every creed, as one. We hope to be free of selfish thinking and class divisions, and we are on the cusp of beginning to live that dream. We can make this happen.
However, for every force for change and progress in this world, there are those who would attempt to destroy it rather than allow it its fair chance to succeed. As you have no doubt heard, the deposed former monarch Magneto has announced to the world that he plans to invade us and conquer this land for his own petty ends. He is indignant that we have come so close to success without requiring his assistance, and he wishes to sate his ego by assuming power that he, nor anyone else, has any right to possess, much less abuse. His is the old way. His is the outmoded thinking we wish to leave behind us, so that we can experience a new age of true freedom, and personal responsibility.
The aggressor plans to amass an army of misguided mutants whom he has brainwashed into thinking of him as their savior, and inflict them on the innocent people of Genosha until we buckle under to his rule. But he is underestimating ULTIMATUM. We are not some exclusive hierarchical occupying force - we are open to everyone who wishes to join our cause and stand up to fight for what we believe in. For what we have earned. Any citizen of Genosha is invited to come to an ULTIMATUM outpost to receive supplies to help in the upcoming fight that we did not instigate, we did not invite and we do not deserve to have to struggle through. But even peaceful peoples must defend themselves when attacked by those who seek to subjugate or destroy us.
Join us, please. Stand up and tell the world that you are tired of being treated like a chess piece, a pawn in some greater sociopolitical game that belittles your lives and increases your burdens. We are tired of being conquered and enslaved and ruled. Let them know that we wish to live our lives unfettered by monarchs and despots.
