In case of boredom, do a backflip (open to people at the Xavier Institute)

Rylee was bored out of her skull. With the Institute being on lockdown, that meant she couldn't even leave the school grounds - not even just to rollerblade. It was frustratingly dull, but she did understand the reason for the lockdown. That was, perhaps, the only thing keeping her from trying to sneak out. There were a lot of people out to hurt mutant kids right now just because they felt mutants didn't have the right to exist.

Spoiled as she was, Rylee wasn't stupid. Even if no harm came to her as a result of sneaking out, she'd still be punished. The training workouts from hell weren't much of a deterrent. Rylee was a very athletic girl and saw them as a challenge. What punishment she dreaded was something like cleaning bathrooms with a toothbrush.

She hadn't told her parents about most of what had happened when she spoke to them the other day on her cell phone. She told them the school was on lockdown because of what had happened to a couple of students at the hands of anti-mutant activists. They had watched the news and saw what happened to Lucy's older brother, and hadn't pushed her further. That was for the best. Rylee had no intention of telling them details that would just make them want to send her off to France with her paternal grandparents.

Stretching, she got into a full split and leaned over to hold her foot in her hands. Sports and art were her main distractions, and something she pushed herself to do every time she started thinking about depressing stuff she didn't want to think about. Perhaps if she was lucky, she could find someone around here who'd be willing to spot her while she practiced.

Rylee paused from her stretching just long enough to crank up her CD player. Some music would help her relax.
