Now with Karate-chop action. Except not.

Ever had one of those moments when you did something awesome but the minute you walked into a hall and pointed it out to someone, you knew they were going to one up it? Josh was having one of those. He had saved Jay. Not in his normal way. Just sort of figured how to use his powers without healing. He had been studying books Dr. McCoy and Dr. Reyes had given him. It took desperation, praying, and hope, but Josh got it done.

It would have been awesome to mention once, but he lived in the same building as the freaking X-Men. What hadn't they done before or better? Possibly with gum, duct tape, and Shi'ar tech. Also, there was the whole thing of crowing about achievements making it seem like he had a huge ego. He did, kind of, but he was trying to have a different approach to life after having just about everything taken from him.

He had peeked in on Jay to check on him but had managed to stay out of the pile of hugging Guthries. He had done similar when Julian was in a coma. At least Kevin was up and walking around. Jay probably was by this point, too. Josh still just felt kind of lost with not being able to do what he was known for. He hadn't even talked with Dani about if they were going to boot him and his feeble powers out after the lockdown was done.

Right now, he's sitting on the soccer field. Or the little bit of the expansive Xavier estate he used regularly as a soccer field. His soccer ball was between his feet, and its stitching was what he was mindlessly getting lost in.
