It's not often Wade Wilson goes out in public without the mask, but this is one of the few times he's not been hired for style. Instead, he's likely been hired because he looks like a misbegotten freak, which makes him perfectly suited for venturing into the Big Apple sewers. They came rather quickly upon a bum crouched on a large sewer pipe, at a juncture between several large tunnels, clothes ratty and several sizes too big, a knobbled hat pulled over his head.

"What are you looking for?" His voice was quiet, calm, as if he was expecting them or at least expecting somebody.

[wadewilson]

Wade plays up the hideousness of his face as suddenly there's someone else here.

"Somewhere to be safe..." he responds, before looking up to the big green monster.

[blonsky]

The monster just looms. Only a hint of a look in his eye that indicates he's not one concerned with his own safety, given his power.

"I was asking the both of you."

[blonsky]

An even tone.

"Give me a reason to tell you."

[blonsky]

A slight sneer crosses his face.

"To call the psychotic Bruce Banner a superhero renders the word meaningless. He has the ability to wear a human face, and that makes him more beloved by the failures that preen as idols for the public. He is still able to cling to his marriage, while my beloved wife spurns me for how I look."

The look in his eye fades from anger to resignation.

"I don't wish to be a part of their society any longer. I simply want a place where I do not have to hide."

[blonsky]

The behemoth bristles a bit at being commanded so abruptly, but he swallows back his indignancy. Glancing only briefly to the ugly worm next to him.

[wadewilson]

Said worm is following faster than the ugly green monkey is. How many times he had to bite his tongue during that whole exchange - it's still growing back in its entirety.

"So... you were the guy that killed a guy in Times Square, right? How do we know you're not crazy-go-nuts?"

[wadewilson]

"Nobody I ever met."

There's a dark look that crosses his face as he thinks back to how badly he wanted to cut Killebrew open with an olive fork. How close he came to doing it.

"What stopped you from killin' that prick?"

[blonsky]

Blonsky doubts the threat of this man has ended, but he doesn't particularly care.

"Healing the sick. A mutant ability, or technological?"

A fleeting thought of curing his own condition passes through his mind.

[blonsky]

"Stealing supplies from hospitals?"
