"Greetings, Hollow," the mummy offers. "...and friend," he adds upon noticing Anya. "I did not mean to startle... but none of the artifacts I possess would allow me to teleport into Avengers mansion. It is too well-warded."

Anya looks up at the massive form and just nods a greeting in stunned silence.

He nods a greeting in return.

"You wish to face this monster," he nods. "I can transport you there. A small fish should be no problem for a hero such as yourself, and those who stand beside him. But should the fish be revealed to be a shark..." He hands a wooden amulet over to Danny. "...break this apart. It will send you both home, where you can gain help."

He eyes Danny with dried, dessicated orbs. "I proved my manhood by killing a lion with a knife. There is no shame in admitting you cannot handle a whole pride. Do you understand?"

"Sure. Splitting up in a forest where there's a fish monster running around is a really bad idea." She pauses and hops into the tree next to him. "And if I faint into the fish-monster's arms and allow it to carry me off into the lagoon... just shoot me."

Aw. That's cute.

She reaches out and wraps her arms around his neck, then swings her legs into his arms.

"Thanks. I could go tree-to-tree, but this is much faster."
