Jamie's made a little contribution to the party. Sitting on top of the cake, in fact. The tiny bride and groom aren't exactly in typical wedding attire.

Instead, the bride's in a garish green costume, and the groom is at least in black and white, but the head-fins look out of place.

Guido clapped a hand on Jamie's shoulder.

"Nice work, Jamie," he said with a big grin. "But Lorna is going to kiiiiillll you. And because you're you, she's gonna get to do it a lot."

He manages to say it with a straight face, but cracks a grin as soon as he's done.

He examines the little statues. "Makes me miss that gold and red number."

Jamie, on the other hand, is quite calm, smiling as he turns to greet the bride.

"Hey, Green! Looking good. My compliments on the dress."

First to Jamie, "Thanks. And gee, I don't remember those being the figures we ordered for the cake," and that was all she said about that.

And then she gave Guido a very big hug, "I'm so glad you made it. Don't let Jamie talk you into too much trouble. How've you been?"

Lorna just gave him a look that said more than words could at the moment. If he duped later, one of them was so going to get its head shoved through something for that remark.

Lorna got a nice big squeeze in return. "What, you think I'd miss this, kiddo? You gotta be kidding me."

He smiled. "You know me. Taking it easy, staying out of trouble, not doing much at all." His neck muscles twitched as he struggled not to laugh.
