It's not sneaking out if they can still call you...

With everything going on in SHIELD, the assassin game had almost slipped Valentina Fontaine's mind. When she heard about it, she thought it would make a wonderful training exercise and allow her to gather information on the players. Anything that would eventually help the agents under Nick's command was worth a look.

She'd put the slip of paper with her target's name on her desk where she was sure to see it, but that would also mean she'd have to see her desk at some point. Now that she had, she took a moment to type Patriot's name into the SHIELD database and hope that they had at least a picture. She sent everything to her PDA for review later.

With Nick gone on his personal mission and things quiet for a change, Val decided to visit her favorite spa for an afternoon of non-regulation pampering. Given the amount of time it had been since her last visit, the place could have closed and reincarnated a dozen times. If it wasn't a spa, then she hoped it would be a place she could sit down and pretend to be normal for a little while. If normal meant she was fully armed with both her SHIELD issued weapon and the paint ball gun sent with the invitation, and any of the half dozen surprises she carried on her person.

A step out of the front door of SHIELD directorate, a right turn, and she began walking briskly along the avenue. As soon as she was comfortable somewhere, her comm would vibrate or rattle, telling her Dugan needed her back. She had to get her small pleasures when she could.
