Don't Need to Go Looking For Trouble...

"Ah don't see why momma won't let me go nowhere by mahself," Jeb grumped as he walked along with his sister, on their way home from his best friend Ray Jr.'s house, where he'd picked up and borrowed notes so he could do the other half of their joint project. Now he needed to go shopping for momma's birthday gift, since it was only a few days away and he hadn't even started looking yet. "It's embarassin', that's what it is. What'll the fellas think, my big sister walking me around everywhere like a bodyguard? Ah can take care of m'self perfectly fine."

Indeed that was the problem. Now that he'd developed his mutant powers, he thought he was damn near invincible and was a bit of a show off, at that.

Something that'd caused a boy to get set on fire, an explosion, and him to be SHOT just last year.
