Ennie, Meenie, Minnie, Moe...

Ben had moved on up when it came to the bars this weekend. No more bars where he didn’t know half the people. Sure, Ed’s wasn’t classy but he knew the people and he knew the regulars and the not so regulars. A couple of his old friends would drop by and his ‘newer’ friends dropped by too. And right now, his mind was mulling on two things. How to ( Read more... )

tigra, the thing, "assassin"

Ben wouldn't have to worry about how to track Tigra down for much longer. After her botched attempt at taking Araña out, she needed a drink.

Well, actually she needed a lay good night, but one thing at a time.

This was a new bar to her so she wasn't in her Tigra form, although if she'd known the Thing came here regularly, she would have gone in her feline form.

"Ben!" Oh. it'd been too long since she'd tried to work her charms on him.

He was about to take a sip of his beer, his fingers perfectly balacing the somewhat delicate handle on the frothy mug, when he heard the familiar voice. Ben glanced to the side and it took him a second to recognize Greer’s human form. It always took a moment, he was used to the fur.

“Well hey there, Doll, long time no see.” He grinned at her.

Ben’s luck was going wonderfully, though he wondered for a moment if his form was going to change within in the next two weeks. That’s usually what happens in the long run and danged if he hadn’t bought a new suit.

Greer took a seat next to Ben.

"Where you been keeping yourself? Too busy to fight super villains with me?"

"Busy fightin' other villains that like ta pop out of the wood works, darlin'." Ben noted, waving the tender over. "Whatever the lady wants. On me." It's a way of making him feel less guilty on what he needs to do. Besides, it's been a while since he chatted with Tigra.

"Though lately, doin' a deed worst than fightin' off ol' bug heads and metal faces. I've been baby sittin'."

Tigra smiled at Ben for his offer to buy drinks.

"Baby sitting?" Not exactly the way she had wanted the conversation to go, but in a few drinks she was sure it would change.

Ben was a gentlemen, or that was an excuse. He just did it because it made him feel good. And Tigra's smile was nice, too. He really didn't want to wipe it off her face, but that was the rules.

"Yeah, nothin' too great to talk about." Ben took another sip of his drink. "Pietro's kid. So how about you, Greer? Who've you been chasin' lately?"

Does Tigra have any idea how many drinks it takes to get Ben Grimm drunk? Quite a few, though it's possible.

Simon, unsuccessfully. And that cute guy she worked with. Oh and that other...

"Well, I've got my eye on someone." She cast Ben a sly smile.

How many drinks does it take to screw a Ben Grimm?

Simon Williams? Ben always wondered about that guy, no pun intended. Though he might not be too shocked to find out how long that list is.

"Eh, no kiddin'? Gotta say the same." He gave her a grin.

A considerably less about to screw a Ben Grimm, now that he's been on the market for a few months. Though he was fairly sure that luck wasn't going to change soon. His hand slipped into his pocket.

Greer inched closer, about ready to slide her foot up the Thing's leg ooh that sounds nasty.

“I think, however, I’m gonna hafta to cut through some o’ the sweet talk though I do wanna make up fer it but…” Ben began, almost apologetically. He broke the paint ball in his palm and gently rested his hand on her neck. “Tag, Doll.”.

Tigra tried to look down at the paintball but it wasn't in a place she could see. She could definitely feel it.

Damn.

After an awkward silence she managed to choke out. "Thanks for not hitting the dress."

"It looks good on ya, thought it'd be a shame to ta ruin it." Ben gave her a sheepish grin. "Was hopin' I could make it up ta you?"

He was gonna talk to Peggy about this game, making him look like a jerk.

That sounded promising.

"How so?"

"I dunno, say dinner somewhere's that actually uses wine glasses?" That would be a nice way to make it up. A nice dinner somewhere and well ... he is a single man now. It would be nice to get to know a good acquaintance a bit better.

"Hm, well if that's the case I suppose I could forgive you."

"I'd like it quite a bit, Greer. Don't suppose I could pick ya up 'round... eh, 7:30 pm? You still at the Mansion?" Ben smiled broadly. "And I promise the place'll be fine for whatever makes ya comfortable."
