Running on Empty

Between the tension in the mansion, the mutant cure that was forcibly injected into his body by his own teammate (even if it was the only way to keep him from going berserker), and situations that maybe were best forgotten, Logan did was he always did - he set himself on roam and took off for time away to clear his head.

Tension would always be there, couldn't help it with so many different people under one roof.  The mutant cure didn't turn out to be much of one with him. It couldn't suppress his healing factor long enough to become a permanent part of his body chemistry.  Healing took longer because of the adamantium poisoning his body, but it finally kicked back in and he was almost back to normal.  It was another reason to take himself off to heal alone.  If word got around he wasn't healing and weakened, he would've been a wounded target for anybody who ever crossed his path.   A man didn't bring that kind of trouble home.

As for things he'd done with women he should've left alone, well, he'd handle that when and if the subject came up. Hopefully he'd discover he had a long hidden gene for tact that just hadn't made it to the surface before now.

Before he went through the mansion gates and let everyone know he was back, he decided to spend the night at his apartment in the city, clean up a little, get a hot meal and a few beers. There was no food in the place, but Big Nick's wasn't that far away. Close enough to walk and get some air.

At three am, no one would bother him.
