Training - Like Looking Into A Mirror

Jan 20, 2008 00:45

Erik had invited his newest student out for a full test of his borrowed abilities. He was in his Magneto armor but holding the helmet under his arm. It was a fine wintery day in the Caribbean - a trifly windy, but still very pleasant. Nothing at all like the Poland of his youth.

The man's mimetic talent was truly fascinating - Erik would have loved to have a sample of his DNA for study, but he knew to ask for it would be presumptive  and likely rebuffed. Still, he could hypothesize how the genome shifted and adapted to multiple, possibly conflicting patterns. Perhaps it was a single ability that templated off of nearby mutagenic signatures, perhaps it was a true shift in the man's DNA. A fascinating puzzle, to be sure.
