It's a Birthday Party!!
Today was the day. Today, Luna was eight years old. Even though her attempt to find the presents hadn't quite worked out, she had gotten a nice amount of stuffed toys and things from her Cousin Gorgon and a promise from Cassie to go "trick or treating" and to watch movies and all that stuff. But that was later.
Right now, she had put on new clothes (important days got new clothes, after all!), put beads in her braids to make kind of clicking noises when they bounced and looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't look any older, but today Luna was a whole year older.
"I'm eight now," she said solemnly to her reflection and pondered her first real action as a real eight year old. "I wonder if I'm supposed to feel different now," she mused. She took one of the older rattier stuffed dolphins off the bed, grabbed a book and went to do something that wasn't *gasp* destructive.
She was going to go up to this cool spot she had, look up at the Earth and wait for people to start bringing her presents come to celebrate her birthday and eat cake and bring her more presents.
