He couldn't find Rachel Summers. Granted, he hasn't been able to get in touch with her for a while, but this was the first time he had made an actual effort to look for her.
She was no where to be found.
This was troubling. To say the least. He was going to have to look into this, but that would have to wait. He had his own problems to deal with, which is why he was looking for her.
He needed to talk to someone he could trust. Someone whose opinion he respected. Someone who wouldn't back down, despite his power.
And, most importantly, someone who had no idea what he has done.
That put Rachel at the top of a very short list. And knowing Cable, Nate wouldn't past his alternate self to cut off every avenue, to put out warning to the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the like. That list was likely growing shorter by the second.
Still, since he couldn't find Rachel, he headed for the next name on the list: Peter Parker.
It was a long flight to New York, and he couldn't help but use the time to think. About what just happened. About the woman in his arms right now, who he loved so dearly. About Siryn. And about how the hell he was going to explain any of this to Peter.
