The Abomination's face rears back in pain as the blade stabs through his eye... but once it is pulled out, the damage immediately starts to repair itself.

And he looks back at her with a nasty grin.

"Ugly little whelp, still living in sewage. Have you accepted the inevitability of your pathetic fate yet, or do you still believe the lies spun by your flaxen-haired fraudulet angel?"

Mikhail is surprised by the sudden attack, but instinctively, his hands reach up to stop those sharp claws.... and Tether suddenly blinks out of sight.

"Back to the Hill with you. Insubordination will not be tolerated..."

She knows that she can't take on the Abomination. She learned that last time.

But then, she's nowhere near the same person she was last time either. She'll die at his hands before she breaks.

Bones, hard and jagged, spring around her entire hand as she leaps towards him and attempts to throw a punch.

Only seconds after Mikhail blinks Tether away, she re-appears in front of him thanks to the teleporting powers of Bouncer.

This time, the electric tail aimed straight at him in a swing.

Clever.

This time, Mikhail creates a portal in front of Tether's tail, which will lead directly to a portal right in Marrow's charge path, pitting the two against each other.

"Marrow, stand down," he says, with a proud grin. "This is family business."

Marrow has enough time to almost duck. The tail connects, but she avoids the electrical release. Instead, she's just thrown backwards.

"So the Abomination is a Rasputin, too? Man, Colossus got all the pretty genes."

No one here is strong enough to take on the Abomination, and with Mikhail's teleporting powers and shrewd (if totally insane) mind, the invaders definitely have the upper hand.

"Tether, I want you to get out of here. Round up everyone else, and get them out of the sewers. Start with the ones who can't protect themselves. And tell Bouncer to get ready."

It's time to break a promise.

"Hardly, you hideous insect. Mikhail has just appealed to my core as a Russian nationalist. The return of the Mad Monk could revive our nation's fortunes."

Then, a nasty grin.

"And he also promised the opportunity to kill your tribe of ingrates."

"That will have to wait, Emil," Mikhail interjects.

"As will whatever contingency you have planned, Marrow. I know you are quite resourceful here, in your pathetic home. That's why it is time to change the scenery."

With that, there's another wave of Mikhail's hand... and the three of them, as well as Piotr's distant, crashed body, shuttle through a portal again, leaving the dank sewers...
