Vive la Resistance?

Amanda had intended many things.

To inform Dr. Strange of the Darkhold's theft. To set out on her own and recover it, feeling responsible. To inform Kurt that she was setting once more for Limbo.

She's yet to have time for any of them. And as strange as time functions here, that says a lot.

It's been chaos since her return. The land rebels from her in places. There are routine raids on her palace from some of the outer demons, though she and those loyal to her have defended it well enough. She at first suspected this to be retribution from Dormammu, but no. It's been Limbo's own against her.

She feels weaker here than she used to. Less Queen-like. It is as if the realm is denying her the power she's supposed to wield, the power once called her birthright.

Still, Amanda refuses to rush in. She will continue to defend for now, continue to draw energy from the magic of Limbo, continue to act as Queen.

Whatever is behind this will show itself soon. She will be patient for now, and react as the time comes.

She did well enough as Sorcerer Supreme, after all. Limbo's much smaller, and with fewer threats coming in. Surely this can't be all that bad.

Right?

"waning and winding", amanda sefton, "stand-in supreme"
