Dr. Banner might downplay it to most people, but he relishes the opportunity to actually be working in research and development again. So many years spent on the run, missing days of his life at a time in a green haze of anger, missing months at a time with a dull gray blur. Getting nothing much done other than violence and destruction that he has his father to really thank for - so much pain...

He's leaning back in his laboratory on the base now, and he's actually indulging in his old pipe-smoking habit as he watches microbes squirm around one of the monitor screens. Looking for a pattern. His foot is on the edge of the desk, and his chair is rocking back and forth.
Microbiology. He's learned more about this than he ever wanted to know in his search for a cure. And now he's putting that knowledge to use.
