"Yeah, don't worry Spence, I can get everything shut down for you. It'll only take a couple minutes. Go, your daughter will never forgive you if you miss the recital

There was the sound of someone scuffling a little, and then a wall being broken down, but then a voice saying "Quit freaking out, it's just some dumb girl," and a dark shape came out into the hallway and loomed up, a rocky figure with black dreads.
"There ain't no alarm for this place, girly. And if you're smart at all, you're going to sit down in the hallway here with your head down real quiet or I'm going to have make you quiet. We got an understanding?"
Instinctively, Adri's powers activated, shadows drawing up over her body, covering her head to toe. Only a vague outline of her form was now visible in the solid darkness.
"I'd think twice about who you're calling dumb, if I were you," she responded.
As heightened as her strength and speed were with the armour, she couldn't avoid the punch. Luckily, her powers were enough to prevent too much injury as she crashed in to the nearest table.
"Do I look like I'm wearing a cape to you, asshole?" Adri challenged as a tendril extended from her armour towards the man. This was one guy she wasn't afraid to take the gloves off for.
The shadow-tendril withdrew as Adri spun to face the newcommer. A female voice came from underneath the armour, "I'm more of a PC gamer actu- I mean- he was breaking in here!"
"And what was that supposed to be? You givin' me love taps, girl?" Kid Quarry, laughed, although as he turned, it should have been obvious to Adri that there was some sort of explosive device stuck to his back with some kind of putty.
It exploded.
It was a very localized explosion, that made him cry out and fall to his knees, arching his now-smoking back.
"Holy crap, you're good!" Adri exclaimed to the masked figure. Then, she once again extended a tendril of shadow to drain the rocky criminal of energy. He was big enough, she was guessing, that she wouldn't be able to drain too much before she reached her own limit.
"Ugh, I hate doing this," she muttered. She was being truthfull there; it was not a pleasant experience for herself or her target. However, it was the only defense she had left, with this thug greatly outclassing her in strength and size.
"Er, I'd rather not make a name for myself either," Adri admitted.
"I've got enough on my plate as it is, I don't need to add full-time crimefighting to the menu." She paused. "Though, after draining that much off that guy, I kinda feel like I could take on Doctor freakin' Doom. This is going to take a while to come down off of."
"I'm quite literally high on life here," she responded with a laugh as she reached up to push her glasses up to their rightful spot on her nose... only to be thwarted by the armour. Shadow-covered hands grope at a featureless face for a moment before she realizes her error. Sigh.
"So... are we supposed to both dissapear off in to the night, or fight each other or something? I'm not exactly up on vigilante protocol, here."
"Yeah, alright. I doubt the caffeine will make me any more wired than I already am," she answered. It took a couple moments to get the armour to fade away.
"I don't think they'd serve me if I looked like something threatening to devour a city," she says with a shrug, giving her hand a shake to will away the last bit of darkforce.

With that, he swung a massive rocky fist at Adri.
