Their day had begun well. Hair and nails were trimmed, primped and polished. There was even a good start on some serious girl talk. She and Pony were now well and truly prepared for the most serious part of their day.
Time for some serious shopping!!
She had called ahead from the salon to secure the boutique for them, and them alone. The owner had obliged by finishing up whatever sales were pending then closing the store. Janet had a reputation all throughout the five boroughs and when she asked, they delivered gladly.
So it was that her and Pony had the ritzy fashion boutique all to themselves when they went in. The owner/designer met them with a handful of sales help all with broad, welcoming smiles on their faces.
"Ever see Pretty Woman, dear? That's nothing compared to what you have in store!" she quipped to her partner as she lead her into the store.
