She couldn't believe it! She just couldn't be-LIEVE it! Somehow...she was being allowed to take the new squeeze of Prince Pufferfish shopping!! Joy

It's not hard to spot the girl when she arrives; common as superheroes in New York tend to be, the sight of someone flying under their own power still doesn't quite qualify as normal.
It's not that Phillipa is unattractive, she's thin without looking waifish, she really does have nice hair, and the wings on her ankles aren't *that* obvious. It's the dress. It's modest, unadorned and, despite being belted with a cord at the waist, shows off the girl's shape about as well as wearing a gunnysack would. The only consolation is that Phillipa doesn't exactly look thrilled with it either.
Phillipa lands and walks toward Jan, seeming only a little unnerved by the crowd.
Her eyes pick over every detail of the girl before she even lands. She doesn't allow herself to show it, but she realizes that she's got her work cut out for her.
Oh, boy. This is going to take more than a little shopping. Bet that dress looks better wet.
Outwardly, she smiles brightly with a nod.
"Guilty." She gives a small giggle. "And you can only be the Lady Phillipa that I've heard so much of nothing about."
Phillipa smiles sheepishly. "I fear His Highness Namor does not gossip overmuch. Still, I am here now, am I not? And I am curious as to how human mortals go about their lives. I have never known any before now."
"Oh." Philippa seems a bit surprised at that statement, but adjusts quickly enough. Jan is very quick-spoken and the newcomer has to pause for a moment or two to process everything. "Roger is your...beloved?"
"Is there something wrong with my hair?" Philippa puts one hand up to her chestnut locks unconsciously, then glances around at the people on the street. Perhaps it does look a bit...drab in comparison to some of the more exotic styles. "I...suppose something could be done."
Priceless!! She ought to be a Mastercard commercial! Oh, Namor my darling, stubborn Flounder Prince, if you can resist this charming little lady you have more brine than blood!
She again gives Phillipa one of her best smiles. "Sweetheart, there are women who would kill to have hair like yours! We're just going to give it something that will make them want to DIE for it."
She giggles again, deftly pulling her along across the busy street towards a boutique. "Besides, we want to look out best when we try on some of the things I have in mind."
Philippa feels a rush of mingled relief and gratitude at the other woman's confidence; she clearly knows what she's doing. Perhaps Jan will know what to do about her predicament!
"You know Susan Storm, don't you? Can you show me how to dress like she does?" Philippa considers for a moment. "Or at least in something less...restrictive than this dress? It served well enough at home, I think, but that was only for sacrificial occasions, but if I dress how I am used to here, then people object and I'm not used to it!" The girl's fashion woes come spilling out quickly.
Finely formed brows lift in curiousity when Sue is brought into this. What has that wet blanket been telling the poor girl?!
She pauses with her hand on the door to the boutique, giving Philippa a warm smile. "Oh I think we can do better than dressing you like Sue. You've got a much better frame than she does, but don't you DARE tell her I said that."
Helpless to resist, Phillipa follows Jan in. "Jan? My friends call me 'Pony', if you'd rather." She smiles...and then all but hides behind Jan at the sight of someone getting her highlights done. "Is...that going to be part of the ritual?"
The permission to use her nickname earned her another warm, friendly smile then Jan is following Pony's line of sight. "Oh...uh.."

JANet DARling!
Jan lets out a squeek as she's swooped into a hug by a rather large, well built man with close cropped white hair. He releases her back onto her feet then tsks at her.
Your ends are distressing. And that color. You've been playing in your hunny bunny's machines again, haven't you? Oh! You've brought a friend to see me! Hello, lovey! I'm Roger.

"Greetings. You are Jan, am I correct?"

"DAR-ling! You've come to the right person for THAT then." She giggles again and wrinkles her nose at her.
"First things first, though. We simply canNOT do ANYthing until we've seen Roger."
Roger, of course, is Jan's hair dresser.

"No. That'd be Hank. Roger is my hairdresser. You'll just love him!"
Oh, she is priceless! No wonder Namor let me take her shopping. He probably was running out of excuses to keep her away.

That wink was supposed to be encouraging.
