There was no time restriction on the party, but Cassie knew it was over judging by various members of the Young Avengers saying goodbye, one after the other, saying they needed to go home until it was just her and Iron Lad. She sighed and looked at her watch. Yep, definitely time to go home.

"Want me to walk you home again?" Iron Lad smiled at her, shifting his armor to a more inconspicuous t-shirt and jeans.

Cassie's heart pace quickened. She smiled back. "Sure, thanks. Er, hold on." She took off her Stature mask. "I'll be right back. No holograms for me."

Cassie didn't think she'd ever changed clothes so fast.

Nathan was waiting for her when she came out. He grins at her, and rubs the back of his neck with his hand.

"Um... so... you haven't mentioned having a boyfriend or anything."

Cassie blinked. Now he asks? She was tempted to lie and have him sweat for a bit before correcting herself. Or tease.

"I make it a policy not to kiss other guys if I have a boyfriend." She said.

"Good," he smiles. And he starts walking. "So... I know everything's all up in the air at the moment, and we never know when everything's going to blow all to hell... but..." He pauses, steeling his courage.

Okay, wow, there went her heart again. Wait for it, Cassie, wait for it. "But?" She prodded.

"...Maybe you'd like... to have me as a boyfriend?" He's not looking at her directly.

Cassie grinned. "Do you know how long I've been waiting for you to ask me that?"

"...you were?"

"Well in between thinking you weren't interested at all."

He chuckles. "Not interested in you?" He shakes his head. "You know you're... really good looking, right?"

Cassie blushed. "Well, I hope you don't like me just for my looks." Considering Kate was hotter, probably not.

"No! You're also really smart... and really nice." He grins. "So... that's a yes, huh?"

She smiled. "Yes, that's a yes."
