Baxter Building, Continued

Reed peers at the console before him, verifying for a second time that the results are accurate. "Eureka!"

Of course, he'd already had a supply of nanobots on hand - what self-respecting scientist wouldn't? They simply had to be programmed to seek out and convert the rogue nanites injected into the mutants that was allowing for control. Easier said than done, since there also had to be safeguards against the counter-nanites growing beyond their scope.

Not to mention that the rogue nanites were very well-designed, and Reed was still having trouble tracking down the signal controlling the mutants. One thing at a time, I suppose.

The counter-nanites replicate themselves to a sufficient density, and Reed utilizes the Baxter Building's defense system to release a cloud of them into the surrounding mutant throng.
