Dreams of a Stolen Child

Aug 16, 2006 20:00

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

In her room, Theresa Cassidy is sleeping, and in sleeping, dreams.... )

Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song

He is sick. Somebody put wuss music on his iThingie. Weasel's got some 'splainin' to do. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how this thing works, so he's stuck listening to whatever pops up.

Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can't tempt us
With their lies

He IS watching Theresa sleep again, so wuss music kinda fits. It's been a long time since he was okay with this, and he's STILL not sure how the hell he feels about doing this, now that she knows about it. Approves of a known murderer camping outside her window to stare at her - what the hell is wrong with her?

I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
So won't you try to comeOh, wuss music, how you make one think of wuss things. Walking in fields. Really, where's the whole 'romance' thing in field walking? Do chicks really swoon for douche commercial tactics? Stepping in the piles of random wild critter-doody, picking dandelions up to ( ... )

He took a moment to watch Theresa as she slept, a thoughtful frown on his face. Looking at her, he couldn't help but remember watching his Theresa sleep. Even before they ever got together he would just sit up at night and watch her sleep. He'd watch her for hours, seemingly in quiet awe of how her face would glow when bathed in the pale moonlight. He'd always have this expression on his face, looking for all the world as if he was trying to figure out the most complex puzzle ever created. Which wasn't terribly surprising, since being in love was a complete mystery to him ( ... )

Before the fireplace in the great hall of Cassidy Keep, she sings:

They cut me down and I leaped up high
I am the light that will never, never die,
I'll live in you, if you live in me,
I am the lord of the dance, said He.

Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the lord of the Dance said He,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance said He.
