Whatever happened to friendly tea parties?

Nothing ever seems to go right for Marrow. She went specifically away from the Manhattan region so she wouldn't have to deal with annoying heroes. Had Bouncer take them all the way to Boston. And as Gene Nation emerges from the Boston sewers to make their pro-mutant statement, what should they find but a massive riot going on already

Tether is lashing her tail at the rioting masses who come near her, while trying to help Marrow bring order back to the troops.

A couple of the rioters start throwing rocks at Tether, seeing the damage her tail can do at close range.

[themorlocks]

She howls and leaps forward, her tail shocking with electricity.

The riot's certainly going well.

[marvel_citizens]

That is unexpected, a couple of them back off. One who has comepletely lost his marbles tries to grab her tail.

[themorlocks]

He's treated to a non-lethal dosage of electricity.

She's advancing towards the others and dropping her guard. She's focused on them right now.

[marvel_citizens]

That at least takes the stupid one out of the fight, as it seems to shock some sense into him and he starts to run the away from the riot.

The others are backing away, looking for something to defend themselves with. One decides to throw one of his fellow rioters at her.

Normally, she could easily dodge a person. They're big, and rather slow when thrown by another human.

But she got caught mid-lunge herself, and she goes reeling backwards along the ground.

The human thrown at her goes down with her, and then starts punching and slapping, and pulling at her skin.

She's both annoyed and hurt by this, so her tail comes rushing up between her legs and wraps itself around his neck.

Rather than electrocution, she just hurls him off of her before climbing back to her feet.

Still, the impact and the fall hurt. She's limping slightly now.

Like wolves, the rioters can sense wounded prey, and two new faces turn their attention to her. One aims for to tackle her lower legs, and the other swings a abt at her midsection.

Wounded doesn't equal helpless, however. She's got claws that she hadn't pulled out yet, but now seems a good time.

She slashes across the arm of the guy going for her torso, but crumples under the tackler. It takes all her resistance not to swipe at his throat.

The guy going for her torso howls in pain, grabbing his arm, he goes to kick her when she is taken down by the tackler.

She snarls as she's kicked.

She's also really pissed off. At them, and herself. She's one of the most battle-trained Morlocks, and here a bunch of 'sapes are taking her down.

So, it's back to the tail. She tries to push out its electrical pulse as wide as she can, maxing at about four feet.

The tail works, taking down the small group of humans around her. She has some breathign room to survey the scene

And uses it to rest for a minute.

When she's ready, she moves on to the next group.

The next group are breaking windows and looting what they can from stores.
