Your stories are just fantastic. All the images are perfect, and all the voices are completely spot on - and all that strength, and that dignity, loud and quiet, all these different people interwoven with a common thread. I love how you've picked out each mutant as a person, barely even glancing at their powers and what makes them different, but just showing us how they live their lives. And through it all, Peter's voice is perfect; his earnestness, his keenness to learn, and to do better, his good heart just shines right through. I love too how you've given voices to so many of the more minor characters - so many of my favourites had a voice here: Jubilee, Cecelia, Rictor, Jean-Paul, the little shout out to Maggott made me squee too; he's a secret favourite of mine.
I just know I'm going to come back to this over and over, there's so much here to take in, but some of my favourite moments: Jubilee! Just all over. Pietro and Wanda's pieces, such perfect compliments to each other, and Wanda remembering the little, kind moments from their childhood. Hank refuting Stephen Hawkings. The image of Warren in his ten-by-ten shower, and the intimate touch of his wings. Jean-Paul... this one broke my heart a little; he's so brittle and proud. Pete, letting his art do all the talking, even when it's been defaced. That was just... ugh... moved me to bits. Scott telling Blindfold how she waited for his question very well. Peter's reaction to Sunfire standing tall, and his honesty about his response. Monet staying the princess of their old stories. Rogue and Bobby being cute as buttons. Ororo, who loves to dance... I could go on and on, every single one had something special in it.
I'd also like to formerly thank you for including Michaela Conlin in this, because I love her. It's like you tailor-made it :D
Thank you so much. Seriously. I'm kind of speechless. This is really special. I'm going to go now and rec the shit out of it, and then read it all again.
