The way it is right now, Big Hero 6 isn't really compatible with the MCU; it's also a Marvel property, but as far as I know, the comic doesn't exist in the same universe as Marvel superhero comics either. Or maybe it does! I have no idea; I don't know much about comics, just movies based on comics. But a fic that integrates the Big Hero 6 movie with the MCU could be pretty cool; for instance, I saw fanart where Tadashi is a Stark Industries intern. Given that Baymax was designed to treat emotional problems as real medical issues, I'm also kind of partial to the idea of Baymax helping (younger?) Loki with his many, many issues, although I have no idea how that would be set up.
Expanding on this with a prompt I just came up with yesterday: Big Hero 6 involves opening portals-so hey, maybe somehow a portal opens to the Void and Loki gets pulled through instead of falling into Thanos’ hands, and…I don’t know, he has to hang around Hiro and his friends while he recovers from being in the Void, where he learns some important things about how great humans can be and how important family is, all that good kind of Disney stuff he needs, and gets some attempts at therapy from Baymax or something.

THIS!! Pure awesomeness! Might take a good deal of research (aka rewatching the movie :P) but I would love to take up this prompt. Huge thanks from a (previously) uninspired first timer!! <3

YAY I'd really love to see this idea in a fic but I'm not sure I can do it myself, so I'd be thrilled to see somebody else pick it up. Also, somebody made fanart of Baymax hugging Loki, which I can link you to when I get home tonight if you're interested.

YES PLEASE <3 I saw the fanart where Tadashi is a Stark Industries intern :) I can't figure out yet how BH6 and MCU can come together for the purposes of the story, but it's an interesting challenge. I want the world to be realistic. Thanks for this golden prompt! I will love you forever!

Here it is! (Also marginally relevant: this RIPT shirt.) As for MCU integration, if you went the portal route you wouldn't necessarily have to do that, although it definitely would be a cool challenge.

Comment for everyone working on this (maybe I'll do something with this, idk, but it's a rad idea): Marvel isn't just one 'verse. Canon info from different sources is contradictory; different versions of the same people, on the different versions of the same planets have totally different stories. Whether they're technically "in-universe" or not doesn't really matter (at least not to me, lol). I mean, I wouldn't recommend putting anything on Earth-1218 (the Earth wherein the events described in Marvel are fictional, aka the metafictional version of our Earth) but really, anything else is basically fair game. Even the film writers are picking and choosing from different comics series! Not that they're doing a particularly great job of it but that's not the point.
TL;DR Marvel isn't just one universe, they can all overlap sometimes, don't stress about it too much.

No, I know, but the MCU is its own universe (it's...what, Earth-9997? I can't keep track and again, I'm a comics baby), which puts Marvel movies that aren't from Marvel Studios in the weird position of not quite being part of the MCU, but usually it's not too hard to make them work together in fic. Big Hero 6 is a little different though since it's specifically a Marvel movie that has a history that doesn't really match what's already in the MCU.

Eh, I just go for it. I'm not a super canon compliant fan, tbh.
