When Steve Rogers makes Bucky Barnes a promise at age sixteen, he doesn't know that he'll be keeping it at age ninety-six.
When Bucky Barnes meets Natasha Romanoff in the course of their work at the KGB, he won't remember her for another seven years.
When Natasha Romanoff encounters Maria Hill in SHIELD, she isn't thinking of desire or fondness, only of trust - and that it's the first time she's been allowed the choice.
When Maria Hill lets Steve Rogers climb into her bed, she can't imagine the fall - but love is more than sex and emotions, a hard and sometimes lonely road to walk.
When a sedoretu consists of Captain America, the former Deputy Director of SHIELD, the Black Widow, and the Winter Soldier, things are bound to get downright complicated...
Notes: I started this series with the intent of writing eight short-ish stories, and then discovered it was actually going to be one prologue, six stories, and one EPIC FINALE. I’d written the prologue and the first of the six stories when the Marvel Bang came up, and wrote the remaining five of the six stories as my challenge.
The Day Marriage: a bit of magic waiting somewhere [Maria/Natasha]
Sacrilege: what is dead is sacred [Steve & Natasha]
The Evening Marriage: something attempted, something done [Maria/Steve]
The Night Marriage: sing thee to thy rest [Bucky/Steve]
Blasphemy: united with holy purpose [Maria & Bucky]
The stories are reasonably stand-alone, although they form a greater storyline in the series, and the final story will be posted later this year.
