Steve Rogers/Tony Stark or Steve & Tony, All Avengers
When the Illuminati escaped from the Skrull ship, the Tony with them was already a Skrull. During the Civil War, Steve beheads Tony during the final battle causing the Skrull to revert and the whole Secret Invasion deal being blown wide-open. Of course the emergency and Tony having been a Skrull means that the two sides (temporarily at least) reconcile and focus attention on fighting Skrulls.
And then they go and find the survivors and Tony is in a bad bad shape because he's basically been a prisoner for *years* and because of his brains/importance the Skrulls were extra interested in him / experimenting on him and torturing him because HDU attack us etc...
Now Steve and the Avengers must work to put Tony together again. (reposted from a kink meme)
Steam or cyberpunk AU! Steve is a cyborg (or completely a robot) built by Erskine. When Erskine is murdered Steve is left behind, forgotten. He stays in the dark building gathering dust and rust until he is found by famed inventor/adventurer Tony Stark.
X Men First Class Post-Cuba!AU-Alexander Summers/Charles Xavier romance
Alex doesn't want to be an X-MAN at first because he believes that he'll hurt people more than save them. Charles attempts to prove him wrong, and doesn't expect to fall in love with him in the process, or that Alex could possibly feel the same way about him. Whether Charles is still walking or not is up to the writer.
Prefurred side pairings if the writer wants to add them.
