I just saw the "'shine race" episode, and I do b'leeve the Gray Ghost is another reference to that matter we discussed previously.
Black Tillie the Second is nice and all, but the one I was thinking of was Sweet Tillie. (The Ghost ain't anything I would scorn to drive neither.)
This is also one of the few episodes I ever saw when I was young, since my father didn't care for the Dukes (prob. struck too close to home, seein' as how his folks came from down there). Now, of course, I can pick up all the references (like the "Gray Ghost" above) that I missed as a half-educated kid.
