Last semester, job seeking, and other

I don't think some people realize exactly how much time and effort it takes to look for a full-time job. I always thought it was a pain to find a part-time or manual labor job when I was younger. All in all it is much the same, the only thing that makes this easier is that most of the time all you need for the initial application is a resume. I only remember one time in my life when I had to do two interviews with the same company to get a manual labor job but most companies that hire engineers usually want two interviews and some want three. Not particularly good for me since I suck at interviewing and it only takes one big mistake in the two or three interviews to end the whole process. Luckily I have been very involved on campus the last few years and have an excellent GPA for an engineering major. So far I am 6 for 6 at being accepted for interviews through the career center here, and I had one company call me during the summer. The first round of interviews starts next week.
The company that called me did a phone interview a few weeks ago. Since then I haven't heard back, usually you get a letter if they reject you but usually you also hear back within a few weeks. I am assuming that I probably will not be called to do an on-site interview. I am not too terribly upset about it, the location was alright, southern MN, beautiful countryside, but I still do not know if I want to do manufacturing work and that is what I would most likely be doing for them until or unless I can get into their product design group. Either way I am not particularly interested in their industry, agricultural products. I know what they make is important, but I am still just not that interested, so if I were to take it I would still feel like I was making a positive difference.
This is the first time in a long time that I have had much free time during the semester. Usually I only get about a day or a day and a half off from class and studying. Now I have about a day and a half weekend or so. Not being on campus and doing homework/attending class from sun up till sun down has also allowed me to do some extracurricular activities. I joined the Kuk Sool Won club, and I try to ride my bike to campus everyday, I have actually ridden it so much since the beginning of the year that the rear tire is almost bald, and go to the rec center everyday. All of this free time, even though it's not as plentiful as most people because I still have things to do, has sort of made me want to start dating again, but with only 11 weeks until graduation I'm not sure that any relationship, assuming that I can get into one, would last past that.
