I know that I have posted more than one of these calls for help thanks to the pathetic state of our country's healthcare system. But here we are.

Heather is a dear friend -- New Yorkers may remember her, and Seattle-ites may know her -- who's been battling Lyme Disease for years and years. She's just under $300 short of her (extremely modest) goal

My sister's been fighting Lyme Disease -- and the medical establishment here in Canada, as often as not -- since 2009. It's been awful to watch. Absolutely I'll kick in a few bucks.

Thank you! It's hard enough to live with chronic illness, but when it's one that the medical establishment stubbornly refuses, by and large, to acknowledge, it becomes exponentially more difficult. Every little bit does help.
