As soon as I got to the MRI unit and I mentioned the stent, from wanting them to check again that it was non-magnetic, I was asked when it was inserted. Two weeks ago. Though he's probably in the best possible place, sadly Martin's health has taken a sharp downturn since Monday morning; his cancer is no longer being treated, with all energies focused on his best comfort. He is almost certainly in the last stages of this. He has friends with him constantly; and visitors are very welcome, though perhaps don't expect to stay long (it's a small rather crowded ward, with few chairs to go round).
