R.I.P. Jack

It it really hard for me to update about this, but Jack passed away this evening. Chuck & I noticed she was getting drooly and having trouble eating this past weekend and I spent all of Wednesday taking her to the vet. She had another severe malocclusion and needed surgery again. I guess the surgery was too much for her. She seemed in good spirits--was eating, oinking, moving around. I don’t know what went wrong. She was only 2 years old. Part of me keeps thinking of all the things I could have done, all the things that might have saved her. But another part remembers that I’ve done all I could. She was always well-fed, well cared-for, and I took her to the vet as soon as I noticed something wrong. She died in Chuck’s hands. Its almost like she waited to be with us, like she wanted to say goodbye.
