In which I tell you about my stupidity

So, some time ago I bought a new computer. My sister was also kind enough to borrow me her external sound unit thingy, since I haven't decided which kind to get yet. Now, during the weekend cefyr  was here and we went to buy some cords that were needed to plug it to my stereo, which worked fine. Then I tried to plug in the microphone to record some stuff. And it just didn't work. I tried everything. Well, almost. Not until today do I get the bright idea of restarting the computer. I did. And it works! But yeah, feeling mildly (extremely) stupid.

Anyway, recording stuff, here I come!
