New Buffy
So apparently there is going to be a Buffy re-boot. I have sort of mixed feelings about this.
I mean, I love Buffy. But at the same time I don't think the sun shines out of Joss Whedon's ass like some people, so the fact that he's not involved isn't really the thing that bothers me. I think the thing that bothers me is that it bothers him, because he did, after all, create the characters. Maybe if someone else had written the scripts and he had been consulting with them, but then again, I don't know.
There are so many questions. Are they going to continue from where the tv-series ended? Are they going to use comic canon? How is the fifth season of Angel going to influence it? Is Sarah Michelle Gellar plaiyng Buffy or someone else? Are they going the route of the newer vampire series and making it Twilighty? Is it going to suck? Are they going to make it more or less feminist?
Yes, I am quite undecided, so I'm going to reserve judgement until I know more.
