He couldn't understand it. He just couldn't fathom why this mud ball brought so much happiness to the scout. It was dusty, dirty, and extremely... organic.

Mirage just couldn't understand what about this alien world captivated Hound this much. But the scout himself was a mystery for the spy. They had known each other since before the war started and even then Hound was a very odd Cybertronian by his standards. The busy cities always seemed to make him restless and uneasy, but he felt at his prime when he was in the open fields.

Perhaps Hound's spark wasn't meant to be in Cybertron. Maybe neither of them were meant to be there forever, and this thought disturbed Mirage greatly. He missed his home and his life before the war. He wanted nothing more than leave this blasted planet and its dirt and mud and organic life. Right?

Mirage heaved a sigh and stared down from his seat in a large rock, watching Hound sprawled over the grass next to a large flower bed. His arms crossed behind his head and off lined optics, a content smile on his lip components. The scout exuded an aura of peacefulness. Mirage wasn't certain why but watching Hound like that made him feel everything was right with the universe, and a sense of inner peace filled his very core. And while he kept watching the other Autobot he felt whatever nostalgia he felt for his home in Cybertron vanquish.

Maybe, just maybe, it wasn't so bad to be stranded on this planet after all.
