Rose asked me to transfer these to lj, so here they are.
Everyone always talks about how great it would be to live in a perfect world, but the truth is, that would be so boring. And everyone's idea of a perfect world is different. What would be perfect for one person would be hell for another. I'm not saying it couldn't be better, but perfection is way over-rated.
Little imperfections are what makes things interesting, unique, and even beautiful. Tie-dye for example. Which is more beautiful, machine-made symmetrical or hand-made with random patterns and little "imperfections". In nature things are not perfectly symmetrical most of the time, they merely have what resembles symmetry. If everything was perfectly perfect and orderly life would lack diversity and uniqueness. We might as well go kill ourselves if that ever happens. ok, not really. I'm not jut talking about tie-dye either. I just used that as an example because it was the first thing that came to mind. Life in general is far more more interesting with diversity and imperfections. That's not to say that we shouldn't make an effort to make the world a better place. We should just stop wishing for everything to be perfect, or we might end up with something that might make you regret it. If you've ever read half decent books then you probably know what that might be. Wonderful examples are, 1984 and The Giver. Trying to create a perfect world will always have desaterous effects.
I have a feeling that I'm not really making much sense. For some reason I have trouble explaining my thoughts and people always seem to misunderstand and misinterpret the message I'm trying to get across. But that doesn't really matter, I suppose, as long as I know what I mean. So if you're bothering to read my crazy ramblings (which you probably aren't, in which case there is no you) and you're feeling somewhat confused, don't worry. It doesn't really matter, and nothing I have to say will ever have any impact on your life, so just move on and ignore me. I really don't have that much to say of any importance, anyways. I just do this because it helps me organise my thoughts and I've got nothing better to do.
