Peoples made me art (paintings by Willowanderer and Kathy Li)

So happy I got these!

December is a good month from getting free art from internet people. I came across solicitations for art request from these two, and was all over it!

First, willowanderer did a series of "advent calendar" art pieces. I ended up doing my request as a "present" for a friend, who long ago had the idea of Prof. Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series doing a tea ceremony.

A serious man. I think it works really beautifully, but why wouldn't it... Willow is a really cool artist and the person who the idea comes from is very cool indeed too and smart about all sorts of things.

(Willow on Deviantart ::: Willow's webcomic Stupidity in Magic ... at least it should normally be there, there seems to be some problem right now.)

On a forum I frequent, Kathy Li has been doing art requests for Christmas for several years. (I won't name the forum since Kathy goes by another name there and I'm not sure what her policy is on the names being publicly connected.) I've missed the previous years, but now I jumped on the possibility to get this slightly surrealistic phrase I've been chewing on for some years, "a wildebeest with question-marks for nostrils", made into beautiful visual art. Behold!

wildebeest, snape, art, paintings, friends, reasons to be thankful
