The Numbers Project 1-20 (All together now...)

Aug 14, 2012 23:29

Those of you who have at all been following my adventures on this blog lately (like, the last half a year) know that I've been presenting something called "The Numbers Project", an art series (not saying great art, mind!) that's... well, integers. Things in groups of 1, 2, 3 etc... I've now presented the 20 first installments here on the blog. Those are the ones that are all pretty ugly (and though that's subjective - and I'm not sure it's my own honest opinion, if I'm being somewhat nicer to myself -, they're objectively done without much effort or significant display of technique) pencil drawings from a single sheet of paper, done in a single night a long time ago.

(Well, I say drawings. One's a rubbing, several are lettering, and one's a bunch of dots not really making a pattern. They're all done in pencil and meant to work as visuals.)

I thought before I go further, I'd show you (my scan of) this sheet of paper in its entirety.

If you've been with me from the beginning, you may if you have very good memory note that the number 1 drawing, of Moominpappa, was mirrored when I first published it on the blog. So this is the first time it's made public in the way it's actually supposed to look. BIG NEWS!
