Come Again?
With apologies to Yeats...*
Things at camp are fine; I like the place;
Fall has made the leaves so red. We are
Apart from the bustle of the world. I like the pace.
The counselors awake us, and the rare
Center of the camp is where we meet.
Cannot say the food is bad; we always
Hold out for seconds. And work and play are fun,
Mere diversions in the day. It almost stays
Anarchy. The only question now
Is when we’ll all leave here. When we are freed,
Loosed on our friends and home, we all will bow,
Upon our leaving, and then we all shall read
The letters we have writ. We soon shall see
world, and folk, and all we hope to be.

Life
I burned a day of vacation/holidays, yet I am sitting in my office. This isn't bad, though: it means that I badgered the pest control contractor into actually showing up... *gasp!* After briefly dropping by my office, I dropped the Matter of Britain off at Ferret Rock for the afternoon and caught lunch with
leliel at Firehouse, blissfully unaware that my (leasing office arranged) contractor had decide that he'd come Monday instead of after 1 PM Friday. I washed the car, ran a few errands, and then sat around the apartment wondering where the contractor was. Finally, a bit after 3 PM, I finally reached the leasing office again (surprising in and of itself, as Engel's leasing office is merging with Blue Canoe Realty). Faith tracked down the contractor, explained that I'd taken the afternoon off and made arrangements for pets, and we got a replacement out around 3:30 P.M. Know what they do? They SPRAY A FRIGGIN' BOTTLE OF WELLMARK INTERNATIONAL'S
PRECOR 2000 (they used to be Zoecon). >.< Ah, well; done! ^_^
Edit:
Whoa, per Wikipedia the permethrin in Precor 2000 is "highly toxic to cats"... good to know! Wikipedia also says "Permethrin is toxic to cats. Many cats die after being given flea treatments intended for dogs, or by contact with dogs having recently been treated with permethrin."
